Community Benefits Request

At Health New England, we are deeply committed to improving the health and lives of people in our community. We are part of the fabric of our cities and towns, the places in which we live and work, and the people who drive change for the better. Through the efforts of our Community Benefits Program, we touch the lives of thousands of people that reside within the communities we serve.

Our community benefit awards are prioritized to organizations that offer programs or initiatives that address to specific health priorities and target populations as identified in our  Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) Report.

Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging Grant Program

• Programs must focus on youth (5 – 21 years old) health and well-being, addressing at least one of the domains in the adolescent well-being framework.

    • Good health and optimum nutrient 
    • Connectedness, positive values, and contribution to society
    • Safety and a supportive environment
    • Learning, competence, education, skills, and employability 
    • Agency and resilience 

• Address health equity and focus on at least one social determinants of health.

  • Social environment (social isolation, institutional racism)
  • Violence and trauma

• An organization must be a registered as a non-profit 501c3.
• Organizations must have programs that target communities in Health New England’s service area, including Berkshire, Franklin, Hampden, Hampshire and Worcester Counties.
