Dental Allowance

Good dental health affects your overall health. It can affect your comfort, your diet, and your self-image. It also decreases the risk of systemic diseases. To encourage proper oral care, Health New England offers a Dental Allowance* to Medicare Advantage plan members living in Western Massachusetts. Allowance is uploaded to your Additional Benefits Card at the beginning of the plan year.

You can use your Dental Allowance toward:

• Dental exams
• Cleanings
• Fluoride treatments
• Dental x-rays

Best of all, Health New England Medicare Advantage plans give you the freedom to receive dental services from any dentist. The service must be provided by a business established to provide dental services, and the service must be used toward the promotion of oral health or oral improvement. 

*The amount of your dental allowance each calendar year is based on the Health New England plan you are enrolled in. Preventive dental services are not covered by Original Medicare.
