Effective May 12, 2023 - Changes to Over-the-Counter COVID-19 Test Kit Coverage: Health New England covered the costs of FDA-authorized, rapid, at-home COVID-19 tests and will continue to cover until the end of the public health emergency (PHE), which ended on May 11, 2023. Effective May 12, 2023, Health New England is no longer covering their cost. Any reimbursement requests for test kits purchased before May 12, 2023, must be submitted by November 11, 2023. Questions About Your Additional Benefits Card? Our Member Services Department is experiencing longer than normal call wait times. If you have questions regarding your Health New England Additional Benefits card, please call the Health New England Additional Benefits Card Department at (833) 696-1085. A representative is available to assist you Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Please note that your Health New England Additional Benefits card was delivered active and ready for use, no activation or pin number is required. Please refer to the letter your card was affixed to for instructions on how to use your card, or read this FAQ to learn more.
Important Message About What You Pay for Vaccines: Our plan covers most Part D vaccines at no cost to you even if you haven’t paid your deductible. Call Member Services for more information.
Important Message About What You Pay for Insulin: You won’t pay more than $35 for a one-month supply of each insulin product covered by our plan, no matter what cost-sharing tier it’s on even if you haven’t paid your deductible.

If you live in Hampden or Hampshire County in Massachusetts, and you already have a Baystate Health PCP affiliated with the Baystate Medical Practices, you can continue seeing your current PCP.*
You can see any Health New England in-network specialist without a referral. We have in-network specialists and hospitals throughout western Massachusetts.

*This plan is only available for members who reside in Hampden and Hampshire counties in Massachusetts, and is not available for Berkshire or Franklin County residents.
