Alane Burgess, LMHC, has over 18 years of experience providing strength-based clinical services to individuals with co-occurring conditions. She is especially experienced in addressing substance use issues amongst individuals with mental health disorders, with individuals involved in the legal system, and with individuals utilizing medication assisted treatment for opioid and/or alcohol use disorders. She employs appropriate evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-informed care, motivational interviewing, and harm reduction.

Alane has extensive administrative and leadership experience in training and supporting staff to empower individuals to reach their maximum potential through a person-centered treatment approach. And has her M.A. in Clinical Psychology from Westfield State University and is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor.

Kristy Navarro holds a Masters Degree in Social work and is a Licensed Certified Social Worker. Kristy currently serves as a Clinical Supervisor with Bestlife, the Emotional Health and Wellness Center of MHA, the Mental Health Association, where she provides individual therapy and support groups to children and adults who are experiencing homelessness. She also provides supervision and training to clinical interns.

She is certified in Evidence-Based Interventions for Family Work and trained in therapies to assist victims of Domestic Violence and sexual assault, including crisis intervention and de-escalation.

Prior to joining MHA, Kristy provided clinical supports and individualized therapies to children and adolescents served through BHN, and was responsible for providing oversight to the children and parenting programs at the YWCA of Western Mass.
